Alabang had experienced tremendous growth during the economic boom of the 1990s.
Today, however, it is mostly known for a relaxed community vibe that the local government was able to protect, despite the surge of modern development in this part of Muntinlupa. There are a few companies that chose to make Alabang as their headquarters, yet this did not disrupt the laid-back feel of the place.
The place gets busier on weekends as families living on the Southern side of the metro flock to the parks, museums nearby, bazaars, and shopping malls. It is the people’s go-to hangout place on weekends.
